OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE GRANT VALLEY TOWN BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING OF THURSDAY, JULY 14, 2016.
Board Members and employees present were Rauch, Moudry, Treasurer Boyer and Clerk Schmidt.
Supervisor Rauch welcomed everyone and called the meeting to order with the pledge to the flag at 7:00 pm.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Supervisor Rauch made a motion to approve the June 9, 2016, regular meeting Minutes. Motion seconded by Supervisor Moudry and carried on unanimous voice call vote.
Treasurer Boyer reported the fund balances of General $79,867.86, Road and Bridge $476,014.90, Fire Fund $53,927.68 with outstanding checks of $1,700.00 for a total cash on hand balance of $611,510.94. Supervisor Moudry made a motion to accept the Treasurer's Report subject to audit. Supervisor Rauch seconded motion and it carried on unanimous roll call vote.
PAYMENT OF BILLS:
The bills were reviewed. Supervisor Moudry made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Supervisor Rauch seconded motion and it carried on unanimous roll call vote.
A representative from a tree/brush company was present and wanted to give the township his information in case we needed him to do any of that kind of work. His information was filed.
Supervisor Rauch made a motion to appoint himself, Althea Miller, Edith Hoyum, Marlys Eckman and Gordy Pierce as election judges for the primary and general elections. Supervisor Moudry seconded motion and it carried on unanimous voice call vote.
Supervisor Moudry has had some ATV complaints and has told the individuals to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
Signs are not here yet for the Archery Club gate and no keys have been distributed. It was noted that the area really looks nice.
None. Supervisor Rauch did his online training for the Board of Equalization so he is up to date on that.
Stone Lake Road discussed. Wade would like to do some small work on two corners. Discussion held. Supervisor Moudry made a motion to allow Thoring’s Grading to do the work. Supervisor Rauch seconded motion and it carried on unanimous voice call vote.
It was brought to Wade Thoring’s attention that there is a lot of water on the Schroeder Road so it may have a false ditch.
A farmer wrecked Birch Hill Road. Wade Thoring tried to fix it but he needs to do more. Supervisor Moudry will check it out tonight and see what more needs to be done and try to figure out who did it as well.
The roads that were missing from the road log were added but do not have a schedule.
Bemidji Township is paving 16th Street at the present time so Thorings were told to be careful at the intersection. Paving procedures discussed.
As there was no further business, Supervisor Moudry made motion to adjourn. Supervisor Rauch seconded motion and it carried on unanimous voice call vote. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
